Pied Cuckoo Known in Hindi as (CHATAK) derived from Sanskrit , seen in rainy season in delhi near rajghat Gole market ,central Ridge,Najafgarh drain, Aravali biodiversity park, Yamuna biodiversity Park . male and feamale looks similar . The sound is mesmerising. I Have never got so close picture espesilly of a pair of pied Cuckoo. this wastaken in 2nd week of Aug 013. I believe they primarily are resident of south India and in summers they visit north. I have spotted them in meerut as well.
